Check both rules

Polish road law and Bolt platform registration are separate questions. A foreign licence may be valid for driving in Poland under the applicable rules, while Bolt's current Polish driver checklist asks for a valid Polish driving licence. Confirm your specific licence and residence status with the local authority before applying.

Where to start

  1. Check the official Polish government licence exchange service for your issuing country.
  2. Ask the relevant local office which documents, translation and verification it requires in your case.
  3. Check whether your current licence remains valid while an application is being processed.
  4. After receiving the Polish licence, check Bolt's driver documents before registration.

Time and cost

Do not plan around a universal two-week exchange or a 24-hour Bolt activation. Processing depends on the issuing country, office, document completeness and any verification. Ask the office for the current fee and estimated processing time for your case.

Other documents for Bolt

Bolt also asks for identity documents, a Polish criminal record certificate, medical and psychological certificates and, in some cities, a taxi ID. A fleet partner can explain the taxi licence and car documents; these are separate from the licence exchange.
