Before signing

Ask for a written offer for the exact car and city. Rental prices and availability change, and a fixed advertised amount cannot replace your contract.

Check the car first

Bolt's standard vehicle limit is 20 years; Comfort and Premium categories have stricter limits. A car needs at least four doors and four passenger seats and must be in good condition. Confirm the taxi licence extract, registration with taxi entry, valid insurance and local markings. See Bolt vehicle requirements and car linking instructions.

Questions for a rental offer

  1. What is the total weekly or monthly price and deposit?
  2. Is there a mileage limit, excess mileage charge or minimum term?
  3. Who pays for fuel, servicing, tyres and downtime?
  4. What insurance applies to paid passenger transport, and what is the damage excess?
  5. What happens if the car is unavailable or the contract ends early?

Compare with your own car

Count all costs over the same period: rental or depreciation, financing, insurance, maintenance, fuel or charging, cleaning and repairs. Include time when you cannot accept rides. Ask the fleet partner for the separate service and settlement fees before comparing net outcomes.
